HI Naomi ...I hope that you enjoyed hiking up with your friend the JAPAN ALPS.I really want to try that but I think it is difficult for me :{
also I like spend the night in quite places as you said when you went to mountain huts.
If I were you when you were climbing at Makapu'u I would fly as it is windy.haha
